Path of Destruction

A little background....
Lauren's clothes rarely make it to the storage bins because they are stained beyond decency. Bibs do not contain her messes and she likes to throw food too. Our books made it through Aidan's babyhood fairly unscathed but since Lauren came along, many of them have undergone Scotch tape repairs, some are beyond repair. There is blue crayon on the window of our back door (for those of you that knew that already, yes.... it is still there). There are pen marks on the computer desk.

A couple of days ago Lauren was watching a show in the morning like she usually does. I went to go change her out of her pajamas and realized that she had found a pen and wrote all over the legs of the pajamas and her hands and neck. Just a few minutes ago, I came into the computer room to find balm (think Vaseline) all over the desk, keyboard, and mouse (and on Lauren of course). As I was trying to clean it up (I am realizing that the keyboard is still quite "gooey") She got into the pantry and dumped out a bag of walnuts, stomping some of them into powder. Seriously! What have I done to her to deserve this!

You guys could borrow Matty for a while. Her thick fur makes her pen-proof. She'd be happy to clean up those nuts. And she's not too picky about what she eats - she'd probably even lick your keyboard clean.

That is what we get for having compliant first children...the second give us a run for our money. I can't even imagine the stuff they would get into if we put Taryn and Lauren together for an hour!!

Hi Malissa, I found your blog through WAKonings. The pics are adorable, and I can't believe Lauren's destruction! Too funny, atleast she keeps you laughing right?

Lock the key and hide it where she can't find it. At lease to the computer and meds.............ok, as I was typing this, Scarlett proceeded to dump a whole baby food container of small, itty bitty beads on the floor. Kids are so messy. Wonder what a house would look like if no one cleaned up after them for a whole week. Yippes.
